What we collect, and why

Draft for review · Last updated September 11, 2026

Account information

When you create a CertKeeper account we collect your name, email address, and the name of your organization. We use them to run your account and to send the reminders and notices you configure.

Records you enter

Employee names, job titles, contact details, certification dates, credential numbers, and uploaded documents are entered by your organization and belong to your organization. We store them to provide the service and do not sell them or use them for advertising. You can export all of it at any time from Settings, and you can ask us to delete it.

Email

We send reminder and account emails through Amazon Simple Email Service. If you enable reminders to employees, they receive email at the addresses your organization entered.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling of your payment details is described in Stripe's privacy policy.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The application at app.certkeeper.co uses cookies only to keep you signed in. This marketing site may use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use it. If you arrive from a Google ad, we store the ad click identifier in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days and, if you start a trial or subscribe, report that conversion to Google Ads so we can measure our advertising. No Google code runs inside the application itself.

Where data lives

CertKeeper runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest, uploaded documents are never publicly accessible, and each organization's records are isolated from every other organization's.
